Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor, popular for his roles in well-known the television show Law and Order Special Victims Unit. His love for acting started when he was in college. He studied acting at University of Colorado at Boulder. Although he's worked in both films and television, the characters he has played on the small screen that brought him fame and a large admirers. His ability to portray characters in both legal and non-legal settings has captured the attention of viewers. His initial project was a television show, however, he was later cast in his role as an NYPD detective. His small-screen performances were rewarded with numerous Emmy Awards nominations and PRISM Awards. One of his most striking facial features is thought to be his blue eyes, which are regarded to be a distinctive feature and are credited with creating characters that are savage and charismatic. The actor was featured in People magazine's list of Sexiest Men Alive in 2006.
